three sisters started a long distance supper club to stay close while apart
Attempting to capture the making of a synchronized supper menu

Last year we decided we had had enough. Enough of missing each other, enough of complaining we never get to see each other, enough wishing we could just get together for family dinners. Living far from our family had taken a toll and we were determined to change. We dreamed up our signature synchronized suppers as a way to stay connected with each other even when we couldn’t be together in person. We also realized we couldn’t be the only family dealing with these issues.

Sync & Savor has been a passion project brought to life out of necessity and shared through friends and family who were looking for that same connection we craved.

We have learned a lot over the last year. We’ve had ups and downs and allowed ourselves grace as we jumped off the cliff and figured this out in real time in the public view. As we reflect on where we’ve been, and where we want to go, here are five things we know to be true.

1. We love working together.

We're no strangers to family conflict and we knew starting a big project together could be a challenge. Over the last year we've learned we compliment each other in so many ways, and there is nothing better than knowing you have your sisters’ support when you need it - whether that's to pump you up, to pick up some extra work when you need to pull back, or to celebrate our wins together. Having an excuse to call each other most days has brought us even closer and created so much joy.

2. We have an INCREDIBLE support system.

Sync & Savor was born out of missing our family and friends. And boy, did both show up in a BIG way to be a part of this. We are so incredibly blessed to have such a network of cheerleaders and people who believe in our mission.

3. We love collaborations!

Our favorite things so far have been teaming up with other creators and experts to share new information with our followers. Going forward, we hope to have many more collaborations and pop up events where we can all connect and learn something new

4. We really don't like social media....

While there are a lot of fun aspects to creating content for social, nothing has been more draining than putting something out there and it falling flat, or obsessively watching how many people are engaging with our content. While we know social media has its place – there is beauty in the connection it can offer and we actively participate by sending reels and posts to each other – we have also realized it is not something we want to pour our hearts and souls into. Instead, we are focused on growing our community through other ways including our email list and website, which offer more personal interactions that we feel better promote organic, authentic connection. You’ll still see us a bit on the gram, but we’ll be saving the good stuff for our newsletters and subscribers.

5. This works!

One of the best things we’ve learned from starting this long-distance supper club is that it works! Having run many synchronized suppers now, we’ve seen the connection and the joy they can bring. We want everyone to experience these synchronized suppers, so going forward supper participation, including supper materials, will be available to subscribers for FREE. We don’t want there to be any obstacle for you to join in and invite more people to your long distance table. We hope you’ll bring a friend to our next supper on February 23. We have an amazing menu for you designed by Cassie Groeschl at Wellness That Fits. If you missed our pop-up event with Cassie, don’t worry, we’re planning another one soon :)

We love this community and we’re so grateful you’re here. Human connection is essential to our health and happiness and our dream is to grow this virtual table so we can spread love, joy and a sense of belonging across the world. Join us where you are.

Happy Dining!
